The Gate House is a sunny, self-catering home located in Hout Bay, Cape Town.
This house is situated on the mountainside and is the ideal base from which to explore the surrounding attractions, such as Chapmans Peak, Constantia Wine Estates, Camps Bay, Table Mountain Aerial Cableway and is 30km to CT airport.
This double-storey house is on the host’s property, but is private and separate from the main house. This spacious home can accommodate 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one of which is an en suite), and an open-plan living area. Both bedrooms are located upstairs; the main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, and the second bedroom has 2 single beds and access to the second separate bathroom, also fitted with a shower.
The open-plan living area and kitchen are on the ground floor; the fully equipped kitchen contains the necessary appliances to prepare and cook meals, including a dishwasher and a washing machine for convenience. The adjacent living area features a 4-seater dining table, a fireplace (for those cold Winter nights), and a sofa to relax on.
The living area opens onto a patio (enclosed stoep), which offers a built-in braai (BBQ) area for guests to use.
The entire property boasts a complimentary and an uncapped 50 Mbps fibre line, which also has a UPS (always on) inverter, in case of any power outages.
The house is situated in a security boom-controlled estate and secure on-street parking is available. The property is within 5-minutes drive from all major supermarkets, the many restaurants that Hout Bay and Constantia has to offer and not forgetting the world-famous Hout Bay Harbour Market.
The house has all the security features you need to feel safe and relaxed on your holiday. Leading off from the ground floor stoep, there is a leveled and compact enclosed pebbled garden. This very private area, and indeed all of the outdoor areas on the property, provides enough space for you to catch some late morning/all day sun, while also offering plenty of shade under the branches of the many trees scattered throughout.

We are a 5-minute drive from all shops, markets and the many restaurants Hout Bay has to offer and we are close to both Hout Bay beach and the stunning Llandudno beach. Beautiful Chapman's Peak drive and the Constantia wine route are also on your doorstep.
